MAD, Making a Difference

In order to certify solar potentials, we have to grade them!

Because they’re the most sought after, we’ll start with homes that can profitably produce energy independent levels of solar electricity.

“Grade A” homes will offer easy installation scenarios, at least 25% solar roof/living square footage ratios, predictable HOA compliance and direct access to the sun. Making up less than 10% of the real estate market, “Grade A” homes are justifiably worth 2% more than other homes.

While a “Grade A” home will typically power themselves, they won’t have the added capacity needed to also charge EVs.  This will require not only low installation cost, but 40% or more solar roof/living square footage ratios, predictable HOA compliance and direct access to the sun. These homes will earn an “Exceptional” grade and as they make up less than 5% of the real estate market, they’re justifiably worth 3% more than other homes.

But just because a home isn’t self-sustaining doesn’t mean it can’t generate profits through the use of solar technologies. Homes with “Grade B” certifications offer low installation cost, more than 15% and less than 25% solar roof/living square footage ratios, predictable HOA compliance and direct access to the sun. “Grade B” homes make up less than 20% of the real estate market and are justifiably valued at a 1% premium over other homes.
